Trail of the three springs (Montefortino, Vetice)

🧭 Trail Notes: This is a relatively easy and relaxed trail without steep climbs or exposed sections, making it well suited for most dogs.
The middle part of the route crosses a wide, soft meadow with scattered trees providing shade — a great place for your dog to move freely, take a break and simply enjoy the landscape.

The real highlights of this route are its three springs: Fonte Vecchia, Fonte alla Casa and Fonte Le Prugnalete. Together they give this trail its unique character and make it especially enjoyable on warmer days. While natural water sources can never be fully guaranteed, they offer welcome opportunities to cool down and take a short rest along the way.
However, in peak summer you should not rely on all springs having water, so it’s always a good idea to carry enough water for your dog.

The areas around Fonte alla Casa and Fonte Le Prugnalete are particularly special. Here the landscape opens up and rewards you with breathtaking views across the Sibillini mountains. Depending on the light and weather conditions, these panoramic sections can easily become some of the most memorable moments of the entire hike.

Overall, this is a very enjoyable and safe route for a calm day in the mountains, combining gentle terrain, reliable shade and some truly beautiful scenery.

🐾 Shira’s Verdict: A gentle trail without steep climbs or tricky sections — perfect for an easy, relaxed hike.
The highlight for me was the wide, soft meadow in the middle of the route, with trees for shade and plenty of space to roam.
And of course, the three springs — ideal for cooling off, even though in peak summer not all of them are guaranteed to have water.
